The time has come and all the anticipation has come to an abrupt hault. thats right football season finally began this past weekend and what a week one it was. but let me take time to talk about the most important issue of week one. no not the desicion of "lights out" merriman to undergo season ending knee surgery and no not even the devestating season ending knee injury suffered by tom brady. no the most important issue is definitely how well the MIAMI DOLPHINS played in their undeserving loss to the stupid-ass new york jets.
With over 250 passing yards, 2 tds, and over a 60% completion percentage chad pennington seems to have finally brought stability to the qb position in Miami. THANK THE LORD!!! his above average play on the gridiron has brought new hope to at least this dolfan and i cant wait for what else he has in store for us this season.
the dolphins defense was also relatively impressive, containing Favre for the most part except for a couple coverage blunders that resulted in two jet touchdowns. overall the play was good and we can expect the week one kinks to be fixed throughout the season.
yes this is a rebuilding year and yes we all expect to see more losses than wins but i have a strong hunch that the dolphins are gonna spoil some teams sundays this year and prove to the NFL community they are not as bad as last years record may reflect.
